What water?

Driven by my curiosity for stop-motion and my desire to raise awareness about climate change, What Water? is a 20-second Claymation exploring the melting ice in the Arctic, through a lighthearted yet thought-provoking narrative.

This self-initiated project was an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of stop-motion animation and clay figurine making. Inspired by the snowy winter and my belief that we can never know too much about climate change, I developed a short story following a clueless polar bear unaware that the ice around it is disappearing.

Throughout the process, I designed and sculpted all the clay characters, planned the storyboard, and used Dragonframe to capture each frame before editing the sequence in Premiere Pro.

The result is a playful, yet meaningful short film intended for audiences of all ages, prompting viewers to reflect on their own awareness - or ignorance - toward the realities of climate change.
