Seeing you, I changed is a concertina-style book that reflects on the impact of sibling relationships on personal development, focusing on my own bond with my older sister.
Inspired by the quote “And when I see you, how it changes me” (Roma Fade, by Andrew Bird), I explored how growing up as the youngest sibling meant constantly observing and mirroring my sister, while also questioning how she perceived our dynamic. To enrich the project, I collaborated with her through conversations and shared childhood photos, turning the book into a dialogue.
Because these memories were tied to our time living in Spain, specifically Catalunya, I researched the colours, typography and playful Catalan graphic design from the mid-2000s and incorporated these influences into the book's visual identity.
Through this project, I learned the value of collaboration, trusting my intuition and embracing playfulness, making it relatable not only to my family but potentially to others reflecting on their own formative relationships.
